Job summary
Nel Hydrogen in Wallingford, CT is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our Applications Engineering team. You will support sales, respond to customer technical questions, and develop quotations for hydrogen generators and related equipment.
You will review customer requirements, collaborate with engineering on documentation and product features, and help guide customers through installation while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and commercial success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering in a relevant field.
- 3+ years in industrial equipment applications or technical sales.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to translate customer needs into practical solutions.
- Experience with international customers is a plus.
- Familiar with MS Office; Salesforce is a plus.
- Knowledge of hydrogen equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support sales by responding to customer technical questions.
- Prepare quotations for Nel hydrogen generators and ancillary equipment.
- Review tender specs and provide clarifications and deviations.
- Collaborate with engineering on product documentation and improvements.
- Assist in customer calls and written responses to queries.
- Guide customers through equipment installation per guidelines.
