Job summary

Nel Hydrogen is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our Wallingford, CT team. You will support sales, answer customer technical questions, and develop quotes for hydrogen generators and related equipment.

You will review customer requirements, engage in technical discussions, and work with engineering on product documentation and improvements. A strong engineering background and customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Experience from applications engineering or technical sales.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Customer-focused approach with good listening skills.

Responsibilities

Support customer technical questions related to equipment features, operation, and documentation.
Assist sales colleagues during customer calls and prepare written responses to technical queries.
Guide customers through equipment installation in line with internal guidelines.
Review tender and equipment specifications and prepare clarifications and deviations where needed.
Build in-depth product knowledge, including product performance specifications.
Develop quotations for Nel hydrogen generators and supporting ancillary equipment.
Collaborate with engineering on documentation and continuous improvement.
