Job summary

Thompson Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, seeks an Equipment Operator to join a safety-conscious team throughout service lines. You will perform hands-on operation of hydroblasting equipment and vacuum trucks, while enforcing safety policies and supporting field maintenance.

Must have a valid driver’s license and experience with vacuum trucks and emergency equipment. The role includes transportation duties and coordinating a crew of technicians on-site.

Qualifications

• Safety training and on-the-job safety awareness are required.
• Fluent English to understand safety instructions and communicate in emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers is essential.
• Experience operating a vacuum truck is preferred.
• Familiarity with wet/dry vacuums is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative for company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Hands-on operation of hydroblasting and related equipment when required.
• Operate special equipment like Ultra High-Pressure pumps as needed.
• Transport equipment and personnel to job sites and manage vehicle DOT requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and field servicing on equipment.
• Direct a crew of vacuum technicians and support operations.
