Job summary

Thompson Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking an Equipment Operator to join a safety-conscious team in the United States. You will operate hydroblasting and vacuum equipment, support field work across service lines, and ensure compliance with safety policies for our clients.

Responsibilities include on-site operations, equipment maintenance, pre/post trip checks, and directing a crew of technicians when needed.

Qualifications

• Vocational prep with safety training and on-the-job experience.
• English language proficiency to understand safety training and respond in emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers.
• Experience operating a vacuum truck.
• Familiarity with wet and dry vacuums equipment.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative for company and customer safety policies.
• Hands-on operation of hydroblasting equipment when required.
• Operate equipment such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
• Operate pumping and specialized hydroblasting/chemical cleaning equipment.
• Inspect surfaces to ensure conformance with specs.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Handle liquid vacs, air machines and jet rodders.
• Direct a crew of vacuum technicians when needed.
• Transport equipment and personnel to job sites.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and DOT logs.

Skills
