Job summary

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree required.
• Professional engineering license preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience required.
• OSHA/confined space training or similar is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, CAD drafting and prepare manufacturing plans.
• Advise clients on goals and approaches.
• Define criteria and loads for mechanical design of turbines/generators.
• Ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
• Perform QC and design inspection/test plans.
• Attend installation and commissioning.
• Perform field measurements and condition assessments.
• Identify deficiencies and root-cause analyses.
• Manage interfaces with clients and suppliers.
• Review contracts for equipment supply and installation.
• Present findings in reports and drawings.
• Adhere to Stantec standards.
