Job summary

The role involves design, drafting, and site activities with travel up to 20% and potential hybrid work arrangements; candidates should have strong CAD/FEA skills and a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree required.
• Professional engineering license preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of CAD and FEA software.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to perform field work and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, CAD drafting, and preparation of manufacturing plans and specifications.
• Identify project goals with clients and provide strategies to achieve objectives.
• Determine criteria, loads, and boundary conditions for mechanical design of turbines/generators including supporting calculations.
• Support manufacturing processes and quality control throughout equipment fabrication.
• Attend installation and commissioning; perform field measurements and condition assessments.
• Review contracts and communicate findings in reports and drawings; deliver client presentations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with Stantec standards.
