Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to hydro projects, from refurbishment to new plants, across challenging environments. You will collaborate with project engineers and managers on planning, design, CAD drafting, and manufacturing plans while supporting field inspections and commissioning.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong communication in English, and travel to project sites. Office locations include Bellevue or other U.S.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• Experience with hydro unit design and equipment.
• Strong CAD/FEA skills and manufacturing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project engineers and managers on planning, design, CAD drafting, and manufacturing plans for various projects.
• Work with clients to define goals and strategies to achieve objectives.
• Determine criteria, loads, and boundary conditions for turbine/generator mechanical design with supporting calculations.
