Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, rebuild hydraulic cylinder parts and restore equipment to proper operation. The role requires hands-on proficiency across multiple mechanical systems and the ability to work with heavy machinery.

Responsibilities include planning daily tasks, using lifting equipment, performing tests, documenting repair activities, and ensuring safety procedures are followed in a fast-paced field

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six years of experience with at least two years on Cat equipment or similar equipment.
• Proficient in at least four mechanical systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics) for various model lines.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, prepare tools, PPE, and duties as assigned.
• Use pallet jacks, lift trucks, overhead cranes to move parts for repair.
• Install, replace, rebuild, repair, and test parts/equipment.
• Pressure wash and repaint parts/equipment.
• Use computers to reference parts, retrieve information, and enter data into records.
• Disassemble/reassemble parts with tools; lift and transport parts using hoists/forklifts.
• Use powered equipment for grinding, honing, boring, drilling, and polishing; refurbish parts and reassemble.
• Move items to locations for disassembly and reassembly and test units.
