Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company is seeking an experienced field service technician to independently troubleshoot and repair construction equipment in the field. The role requires extensive hands-on work with Cat equipment and the use of manuals, parts diagrams, and diagnostic tools.

The position involves lifting, using hoists and cranes, and traveling to customer sites to diagnose and fix issues, perform preventative maintenance and document activities.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Eight years of experience with Cat equipment or similar.
• Must understand four mechanical systems: transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, rebuild, repair and test parts/equipment in the field.
• Refer to manuals and diagrams to diagnose issues.
• Use lifting devices and power tools to handle parts and assemblies.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and document repair work orders.
• Drive and service customer locations as needed.
