Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company seeks a qualified technician to troubleshoot, repair and rebuild hydraulic cylinder parts, restoring equipment to proper operation on the second shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM). You will use PPE, operate hoists, lifts and trucks to move heavy components, read repair manuals, and enter data into record systems while delivering quality service on Cat or similar equipment.

Applicants must have customer-focused communication and the ability to document activities

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Six years of experience with at least two years on Cat or similar equipment.
Ability to read repair manuals and write clear repair work orders.
Must be able to lift up to 90 pounds and work around heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild hydraulic cylinder parts and restore equipment to proper operation.
Prepare for work, comply with PPE requirements and use hoists or forklifts for parts handling.
Disassemble/reassemble parts or equipment and perform tests and diagnostics.
Operate power tools, grinders, and perform painting and reassembly as required.
Document repair activities on customer work orders.
