Gregory-Poole Equipment Company in Hope Mills, NC is seeking a skilled heavy equipment mechanic to perform routine mechanical repairs on construction equipment. You will use repair manuals and parts diagrams to troubleshoot, disassemble and reassemble components, and perform preventative maintenance.

This on-site role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift heavy parts with hoists or forklifts, and careful documentation of repair work orders.

Qualifications

• Must have basic mechanical knowledge from schooling or work experience.
• Ability to read and follow repair manuals and parts diagrams.
• Ability to perform routine mechanical repairs on construction equipment.
• Must be physically able to lift heavy parts and operate lifting devices.
• Willingness to adhere to safety policies and documentation standards.

Responsabilités

• Check equipment and supplies, prepare for duties and comply with PPE requirements.
• Troubleshoot using manuals and diagrams to diagnose issues.
• Disassemble/reassemble parts or equipment and perform repairs and tests.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on engines, power trains, hydraulics and electrical components.
• Document repair activities on customer work orders and maintain records.
