CDM Smith is a multi-discipline engineering and architectural firm offering challenging projects in Environment, Industry, Transportation, and Water. The Hydraulic Structures Engineer will join a collaborative team, leading structural analysis, design and risk assessment for flood control and water resources projects.

The role includes coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, preparing proposals, and supporting construction with shop drawing reviews.

Formación

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering.
PE license is required.
10 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsabilidades

Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, hydroelectric, and water resources projects.
Lead project teams of structural engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
Prepare proposals with scopes, budgets and schedules.
Forecast workloads and manage schedules.
Develop contract drawings, specs, and cost estimates with team input.
Review shop drawings and respond to contractor questions during construction.
Inspect and assess existing structures and prepare reports.
Present technical information to teams, clients and review boards.
Conduct risk and failure mode analyses and document outcomes.
Manage multiple projects or large programs and monitor budgets.
