Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control and water projects.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with multi-disciplinary groups.
• Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
• Forecast workload and schedules.
• Prepare contract documents with drawings, specs and criteria.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor questions.
• Conduct inspections and structural assessments.
• Present technical results to project team and clients.
• Conduct risk analyses for hydraulic structures and identify failure modes.
• Manage large or multiple projects.
• Review others' work for quality and safety.
• Monitor budgets and schedules.
• Support business development and recruiting activities.
• Mentor junior staff.
