Job summary

Travelers in Maryland is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Workers' Compensation to begin with comprehensive training in claim handling, customer service and policy interpretation. You will work alongside experienced professionals to develop the skills needed to handle workers' compensation claims over a 12‑month program.

The program aims to enable progression to independent claims handling with a hybrid work model and ongoing learning in AI and digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• Internship or work experience in customer service or insurance.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn claims management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement within established authority.
• Exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training covering insurance policies and claims processes.
• Assist in reviewing and documenting Workers' Compensation claims under supervision.
• Investigate, develop, and evaluate action plans for claim resolution.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and providers.
• Communicate claim status to all parties and maintain records in the CMS.
