Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Associate Claim Representative for Workers Compensation in a hybrid MD Hunt Valley role. The program includes structured training, supervision, and progression toward independent claims handling after completion of the program.

You will learn to review and investigate claims, determine coverage and compensability, gather statements, and maintain records while aiming to return injured workers to work where appropriate. A degree or license progression is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn claims management.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures.
• Assist in reviewing, investigating, and documenting Workers Compensation claims under close supervision.
• Investigate, develop, and evaluate action plans for claim resolution.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Communicate and apprise all parties regarding claim status.
• Maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim management systems.
