Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Vice President to lead the Actuarial Claims Consulting Practice in the United States. You will guide reserving solutions, supervise client work, and shape analytic methods while delivering strategic insights to complex liabilities and cash flow analyses.

Based in a Marsh office with a hybrid schedule (three days in the office), you will mentor teams, manage multiple projects, and develop scalable tools, models, and standards to strengthen client relationships and expand

Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience with a strong reserving background.
• ACAS, FCAS preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial, statistical, and actuarial data to develop reserving, liability, and cash flow insights that support client and business decision-making.
• Perform actuarial calculations to implement or build complex, bespoke reserving models, and analytics-based tools.
• Build complex, bespoke reserving calculation models and other analytics-based tools.
• Maintain and develop efficiencies for existing actuarial reserving models.
• Investigate complex client issues, develop recommendations on outstanding liabilities, and clearly communicate findings through exhibits, reports, and presentations.
• Develop a strong understanding of clients’ businesses, exposures, and needs to provide informed, practical solutions.
• Support the management and execution of several, simultaneous projects, including coordinating workstreams, guiding team deliverables, and reviewing analysts’ work for technical accuracy and quality.
• Identify opportunities to support new and existing business, contribute to service offerings expansion, and help strengthen client relationships.
• Enhance tools, processes, and methodologies across the practice, including contributing to the use of more advanced reserving approaches.
• Contribute toward the development of administrative structural elements for a new team, such as creating training materials and developing standards of practice.
