Job summary

Marsh seeks a VP for Actuarial Claims Consulting to lead advanced actuarial and reserving solutions for diverse client needs. The role blends technical expertise, client service, and project leadership across multiple offices in the US, with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office).

You will guide data-driven reserving analyses, develop bespoke models, and mentor teams while contributing to practice-wide process improvements. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience with strong reserving background.
• ACAS, FCAS preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or related field; other backgrounds may be considered with relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial, statistical, and actuarial data to develop reserving, liability, and cash flow insights.
• Perform actuarial calculations to build complex reserving models and analytics tools.
• Maintain and develop efficiencies for existing reserving models.
• Coordinate multiple projects, review analysts’ work for technical accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and strengthen client relationships.
• Enhance tools, processes, and methodologies across the practice.
