North Haledon Veterinary Care in North Haledon, NJ is hiring a Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Receptionist to split time between client service at the front desk and hands-on veterinary assisting. The role supports pets and clients, with a mix of administrative tasks and clinical duties in a full-time position.

The ideal candidate has prior veterinary hospital experience or cross-training, strong communication skills, and a passion for caring for animals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary hospital as CSR or Veterinary Assistant preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with animals and clients.
• Able to multitask between front desk and clinical duties.
• Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Client service: welcome clients, manage check-in/out, schedule appointments, answer questions, process payments, maintain records, communicate with pet owners.
• Veterinary assistant: assist doctors/technicians during exams, restrain animals, prepare exam rooms, assist with samples and medications, support hospital workflow.
