Job summary

Aurora Operations, Inc. in Pittsburgh is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer - Vehicle Platform to lead vehicle platform integration for autonomous driving systems. You will guide architecture development for Level 4 vehicles and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure platform performance objectives.

The role requires 5+ years in autonomous controls and hands-on experience with vehicle testing, CAN networks, and data analysis. Hybrid work schedule is provided where feasible.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in autonomous control systems or related automotive fields.
• Experience with vehicle testing and data analysis using automotive tools.
• Knowledge of CAN network architectures and design verification.
• Proficiency with HiL testing and test automation concepts.
• Experience organizing large data sets, verification databases, and results dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead vehicle platform integration work at the interface of driver and vehicle platforms.
• Develop, analyze, prototype, and test architectures for Level 4 autonomous vehicles.
• Design technical solutions, document decisions, and align cross-functional teams.
• Provide vehicle-specific functional integration support for evolving hardware kits.
• Develop and execute on-vehicle test plans including verification and performance characterization.
• Drive continuous improvement, risk assessment, and safety-case evidence generation.
