Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in CFD and related analysis
• Experience with hardware design and reducing design iterations
• Experience in consumer or automotive electronics design
• Industry experience with design teams during design process
• Proven ability to produce high fidelity results
• Familiarity with sheet metal forming, welding, casting or machining
• Familiarity with injection molding, 3D printing or thermoforming
• Knowledge of PCB assemblies and their effect on mechanical properties
• Experience with ANSYS CFD tools: Workbench, Fluent, SpaceClaim, Icepak
• Experience with material testing and environmental testing

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on at the interface of Aurora Driver and vehicle platforms
• Prioritize and coordinate work across teams to support vehicle platform integration
• Develop, analyze, prototype, and test new vehicle and drive-by-wire architectures for Level 4 autonomous vehicles
• Design technical solutions to satisfy product and engineering requirements
• Provide vehicle-specific integration support for evolving hardware kit generations
• Develop and execute on-vehicle test plans aligned with platform requirements
• Provide cross-functional technical leadership by defining test priorities and coordinating stakeholders
• Investigate fleet field issues and identify mitigations across teams and OEMs
• Drive continuous improvement and develop tools to improve fleet performance
• Own and deliver technical evidence supporting Safety Case claims and regulatory objectives
