Job summary

Aurora Pittsburgh is seeking a Control Systems Software Engineer to join Aurora’s Autonomy Controls Software Team. You will design, implement, and verify the motion control system of the Aurora Driver across vehicle platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience on control systems for vehicle platforms (automotive, aerospace, robotics, or related).
• Experience building production-quality C++ code.
• Strong foundation in control theory and nonlinear vehicle dynamics.
• Familiarity with fail-safe/fail-operational control systems (desirable).
• Masters or PhD in related field (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Develop motion control algorithms for a safety-critical system.
• Analyze control system performance in offline and on-road environments.
• Verify robustness of system to disturbances, failure modes, and environmental conditions.
