Job summary

Brooks Automation is a global leader in advanced automation, vacuum systems, and contamination control technologies for semiconductor manufacturing. The Mechanical Design Engineer will design, analyze, and validate vacuum chambers, frames, robots, and interfaces, enabling high‑reliability wafer handling in ultra‑high vacuum environments.

You will create Creo CAD models, release drawings, perform structural analyses, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, and mechanical design.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, Creo preferred.
• Understanding of mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop vacuum chambers, frames, subassemblies, and precision components.
• Create and update 3D CAD models and drawings in Creo; release drawings and parts.
• Perform structural and basic analysis and contribute to ECOs and BOM in Agile PLM.
• Support system builds and cross‑functional integration.
• Participate in design reviews and lifecycle engineering.
