Job summary

Brooks Automation US LLC seeks a Systems Software Engineer to join a team of software and hardware engineers supporting vacuum system platforms. The role focuses on developing next-generation controls software, verifying designs, and testing on various vacuum systems and components.

Responsibilities include automating data collection, supporting manufacturing, and maintaining process documentation, with potential motion control tuning and servo characterization.

Qualifications

• BSEE/BSCS or similar with 5+ years experience OR MSEE/MSCS or similar with 3+ years experience.
• Minimum 2 years of C++ or C# programming expertise.
• Experience with electro-mechanical systems preferred.
• Experience with EtherCAT, gRPC, Python, PLCs, RTOS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop next-generation controls software and verify its design.
• Test quality on vacuum systems and components.
• Streamline configuration, calibration and testing of vacuum components.
• Support Manufacturing and maintain process documentation; assist with motion control tuning.
