Job summary

Brooks Automation US LLC is seeking a System Software Engineer to join a team supporting vacuum system platforms, including next-generation controls, product extensions, and continuous improvements to throughput and performance.

You will develop controls software, verify designs, and test on various vacuum systems. The role involves automating configuration, calibration, data collection, and supporting manufacturing with documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with BSEE/BSCS or 3 years with MSEE/MSCS.
• Experience with C++ or C# programming is required (minimum 2 years).
• Experience with electromechanical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop next-generation controls software and verify its design.
• Test and improve software quality on vacuum systems and components.
• Automate configuration, calibration, and data collection routines.
• Support manufacturing and maintain process documentation.
• Possibly perform motion control tuning and servo characterization.
