Job summary

Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company seeks an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team with data gathering, document verification, and file organization. The role is hybrid—three days in the local office and two days from home—with office locations including Charlotte, NC.

You will assist with collecting financial records, coordinating with agencies, and maintaining accurate data while learning underwriting guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, customer service or administration preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and organize data from policyholder applications and financial records for underwriting.
• Assist underwriting partners by gathering additional information as needed.
• Maintain organized client files with accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Support the underwriting team with administrative tasks and report preparation.
• Collaborate with agency partners to collect compliance documents and address inquiries.
• Assist in completing underwriting risk assessment tools accurately.
