Job summary

Amerisure Insurance Company in the United States is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting team by gathering, verifying, and organizing data from policyholder applications and financial records.

The role combines in-office collaboration with remote work, offering a hybrid schedule three days per week at the local office and two days from home. Candidates should have a high school diploma and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, customer service, or administration preferred.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Accurate data input with high attention to detail.
• Travel may be required (<5%).

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and process financial records and other documents for underwriting.
• Assist in gathering information as requested by underwriting partners.
• Organize and maintain client files with complete, accurate documentation.
• Support underwriting with administrative tasks and report preparation.
• Collaborate with agency partners to collect compliance documents and address inquiries.
• Assess risk using Amerisure underwriting tools.
• Identify discrepancies or missing information and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate data records.
• Learn and follow underwriting guidelines and procedures.
