Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting or high school diploma with 2+ years drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop transmission/distribution line drawings with a multi-disciplined team.
• Apply CAD skills and training in 3D design software like PLS-CADD, AutoCAD 3D or MicroStation.
• Develop transmission line plans, profile drawings, hardware details, material lists, grounding details.
• Create master sketches at scale showing relation to existing facilities with precise specs.
• Interact with engineering staff to interpret inputs and provide design adjustments.
