Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Transmission Line Drafting professional to join our team in Wilmington, DE. You will develop transmission and distribution line drawings, leveraging AutoCAD or MicroStation, while expanding your CAD skills in 3D environments.

The hybrid role requires an associate degree or equivalent drafting experience, strong attention to detail, and good communication. You’ll work with engineers and designers to produce accurate, scalable plans and schedules.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without CAD.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop transmission/distribution line drawings with drafters/engineers.
• Apply CAD skills in 3D environments (PLS-CADD, AutoCAD 3D, MicroStation).
• Create master sketches showing proposed installations relative to existing facilities.
• Interpret input from engineering specifications and weight/volume calculations.
• Explain drawings to project team for appropriate design adjustments.
