Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking an Electrical/Structural Designer to develop transmission and distribution line drawings within a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves CAD design and hands-on training in 3D environments using AutoCAD 3D and MicroStation.

The position features a hybrid work schedule with in-office work three days per week. You will create master sketches, interpret engineering specifications, and coordinate with staff, vendors, and contractors to refine

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma with 1+ year drafting coursework or equivalent.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
3+ years experience in design/drafting of Transmission Lines.
Knowledge of design techniques for technical plans and models.
Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the computer.

Responsibilities

Develop transmission line plans and profile drawings.
Create master sketches to scale showing installations relative to existing facilities.
Interpret input from engineering specs and calculations to inform drawings.
Confer with engineering staff to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
Assist on client site walkdowns to gather information for the design.
