Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecom Section Manager to lead telecommunications design on data center projects. You will oversee a team of leads, coordinate with multi-disciplinary peers, and ensure timely project delivery. The role supports a hybrid work model and opportunities across U.S.

locations. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in telecom design leadership, RCDD credential, and strong budgeting and scheduling skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years actively leading Telecommunications structured cabling designs.
• Minimum 2 years of managing a small team.
• Credential as an RCDD.
• Experience with construction of data centers.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 and telecom cabling standards.
• Experience with responding to RFPs.
• Experience in budgeting and scheduling projects.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead project teams across multiple data center projects.
• Forecasting and staffing resources for projects.
• Budgeting resources for multiple projects.
• Mentor project leads throughout the design process.
• Review DIV 27 specs and modify as needed.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate with department managers to meet deadlines.
