Job summary

Watts is seeking a Technical Trainer & Instructional Designer in North Andover, MA. The hybrid role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering product training to help customers install, maintain, and troubleshoot plumbing solutions.

The candidate will mentor other instructors and instructional designers, oversee training facilities and equipment, and collaborate with engineering, support, sales, and marketing. Requires 6+ years in a related role and a technical degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience (e.g., Military School Instructor certification).
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a technical instructor, course developer, or instructional designer in a construction, mechanical engineering, plumbing, or industrial product environment.
• Deep understanding of water based plumbing systems (Potable Water; Hydronic Cooling; Fire Protection; Municipal; etc.) HVAC, and related flow control products.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint for training delivery and content development. Proficiency with current PC applications and comfort working in a hybrid office environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on and virtual instructor-led training on Watts product lines and plumbing system solutions for contractors, distributors, engineers, and other audiences.
• Design and develop new training curricula and revise content for instructor-led, Lunch & Learns, and e-Learning, partnering with product engineering, technical support, sales, and marketing.
