Atlas Copco in the United States is seeking a technical support engineer to provide fast, structured troubleshooting and escalation for complex vacuum and mechanical systems. The role blends remote and on-site work to reduce downtime and boost customer satisfaction.

You will own technical cases end-to-end, coordinate with Field Service Engineers, support centers and distributors, deliver coaching, improve service documentation, and contribute to continuous product improvement with clear problem

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in technical support, field service, commissioning, maintenance, or repair of industrial equipment.
• Technical apprenticeship or degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical or industrial maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical/controls topics.

Responsabilités

• Provide fast, structured troubleshooting to reduce downtime and improve customer satisfaction.
• Act as technical escalation for centers, field engineers, distributors, and customers; ensure timely support from intake to closure.
• Diagnose complex vacuum system issues including electrical/controls and VSD/PLC interfaces.
• Define troubleshooting plans, analyze field data, and provide actionable repair recommendations.
• Deliver coaching and training to field staff to improve first-time-fix rates and safety.
• Maintain and improve technical documentation and reusable guidance.
• Drive structured failure and warranty reporting for continuous improvement.
