Job summary
Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a technical support engineer to provide fast, structured, high-quality support for vacuum/rotating equipment. You will troubleshoot complex electrical and control issues, document repair actions, and coach field technicians to improve first-time fix rates.
The role offers hybrid work between remote and on-site at Charlotte, NC or Michigan City, IN facilities, with travel to customer sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing complex vacuum system issues including electrical/controls.
- Ability to read technical documentation and translate findings into actions.
- Strong ownership and ability to prioritize multiple cases under time pressure.
- Proven ability to guide technicians remotely and deliver training.
- Willingness to travel & work in industrial environments.
- English required; Spanish/French a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own complex technical cases from intake to closure for VTS Aftermarket.
- Provide troubleshooting routines and reusable documentation to improve service.
- Deliver coaching to Field Service, Customer Centers, and distributors.
- Contribute to reliability improvements through structured failure/incident reporting.
