This team builds foundational payroll, tax, and compliance knowledge while developing consultative sales skills, with potential growth into Implementations and Solutions

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a high-volume sales or customer service role with cross-selling, upselling, or hitting a quota/KPIs.
• Eager to learn about a brand new industry including tax codes, compliance rules, or how payroll actually works behind the scenes.
• Customer-obsessed attitude with focus on trust and consultative conversations.
• Driven and goal-oriented with a desire to hit numbers and level up your sales skills.
• Strong communication across phone, email, and chat, with adaptable tone.
• Adaptable problem solver who thrives on challenge and shifts in requirements.
• Proven experience integrating AI into daily work, with useful feedback to improve tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume customer interactions across phone and email with small business owners guiding them from onboarding to running their first payroll.
• Own your ticket queue and manage your pipeline like a seller.
• Proactively position plan upgrades and surface cross-sell opportunities for Health Insurance, Workers' Comp, and 401(k).
• Catch tax discrepancies live, troubleshoot state portals, and make compliant calls for each state/industry.
• Configure sick time, PTO, and overtime policies to keep companies compliant from day one.
• Collaborate with Risk and other teams; seek handoffs when specialized expertise is needed.
• Use AI-powered workflows daily to surface friction and provide feedback for tool improvements.
