Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Tualatin, Oregon is seeking an Engineering Technician to support design, test, modify, and assemble electro-mechanical systems and specialized test equipment. You will reference schematics and conduct testing, troubleshoot faults, and assist in determining remedies to malfunctions.

You will work with development engineers on prototypes and models, perform fault isolation, and use oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other test instruments to ensure device performance

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of related experience.
• Experience installing, maintaining, repairing, testing or troubleshooting equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient using computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work a shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
• Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
• Inspect materials, components, or products for defects and measure circuitry with electronic test equipment and precision instruments.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation to determine remedies for malfunctions.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized apparatus.
• Collaborate with development engineers on prototypes and models.
