Job summary

BCG Attorney Search represents a law firm seeking an associate with 4–7 years of experience to join the Technology Licensing, Data Privacy, and Security practice in Clayton, MO. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities to advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance.

You will draft and negotiate technology agreements, lead privacy assessments, support incident response, and contribute to client-facing thought leadership while collaborating with colleagues

Qualifications

• J.D. required from an accredited law school.
• 4–7 years of experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, or technology transactions.
• Experience drafting and negotiating technology-related agreements.
• CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or AIGP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on data privacy and cybersecurity compliance.
• Counsel on data asset management and privacy program development.
• Draft, review, and negotiate technology and commercial agreements.
• Draft and review data protection agreements and privacy provisions.
• Advise on IP ownership, protection, and licensing strategies.
• Lead and support incident response and breach investigations.
• Advise on AI governance and related legal risks.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and risk analyses.
• Monitor legislative developments and evolving obligations.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to client-facing thought leadership.
