Job summary

Bain & Company, Inc. is seeking a Specialist, Sourcing in Chicago to join the Sourcing Center of Excellence.

You will collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and account managers to craft targeted sourcing strategies and identify top talent for priority roles across our practices. As a Specialist, Sourcing, you will build robust talent pipelines, engage passive candidates, and provide market insights to support hiring decisions.

• Experience in talent sourcing or headhunting.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and account managers to understand talent needs and develop tailored sourcing strategies for specific roles and skill sets.
• Identify and assess prospective candidates against role requirements, providing thoughtful recommendations and insights to hiring teams.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across Bain’s practices and functions while building deeper expertise in selected areas.
• Use sourcing platforms and tools, including LinkedIn, SeekOut, and Avature, to identify relevant talent and share market insights with recruiters.
• Engage prospective candidates through personalized outreach, professional networking, and targeted communications to build relationships and generate interest in Bain opportunities.
• Communicate role requirements and Bain’s value proposition effectively, supporting recruiters throughout the candidate screening and engagement process.
• Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs, nurturing long-term relationships with passive talent.
• Partner with hiring teams to understand sector-specific talent requirements and translate market research into actionable sourcing insights.
• Monitor sourcing progress, proactively identify potential challenges, and adjust strategies in collaboration with recruiters and team leadership.
• Establish trusted relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, and search leads by consistently delivering relevant candidate recommendations and responding to feedback.
• Stay informed about sourcing trends, tools, and best practices, identifying opportunities to improve sourcing processes and team effectiveness.
