Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte in Washington, DC seeks a Talent Acquisition Assistant to support the lateral global partner and U.S. counsel recruiting process.

You will manage data entry in applicant tracking systems and help coordinate interview logistics. Under direct supervision, assist with onboarding tasks, scheduling, and communications, ensuring a high-quality candidate experience while handling confidential information in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and manage priorities.
• Able to handle confidential information.
• In-office 3 days a week required.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain candidate records across ATS systems.
• Process departmental expense reports, check requests and travel reimbursements.
• Coordinate onboarding for new Partner hires.
• Assist with search firm tracking and internal communications.
• Schedule internal meetings, interviews, and events.
• Gather and distribute candidate materials to interviewers.
• Monitor recruiting inbox and escalate complex issues.
• Track interviewer feedback and ensure timely evaluations.
• Support recruiting metrics reporting.
• Maintain organized electronic recruiting files.
