• Pre-authorizes surgeries with insurance and enters data in scheduling system.
• Maintains a surgical log for statistics and auditable records.
• Distributes pre-surgical packets with dates and instructions.
• Coordinates with facilities for equipment or personnel needs.
• Ensures pre-operative labs are ordered and tracked.
• Verifies accuracy of schedules before publication.
