Job summary

Proliance Surgeons is seeking a Scheduler to maintain an active and accurate surgery schedule, coordinating with surgeons, clinical teams, and multiple offices. Training is in person for about 30 days, after which the role offers hybrid remote work two days per week.

The position requires a high school diploma (BA preferred), 1–2 years in a medical office, strong scheduling knowledge, HIPAA compliance, and excellent communication. Travel between Wallingford and Ballard offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; courses related to anatomy, biology, physiology or medical terminology a plus.
• BA or BS is preferred but experience may substitute for formal degree.
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical office and/or Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to patients on completing forms and updating EMR/PM software with pre/post data.
• Assist with scheduling of outside referrals, tests, and consultations.
• Schedule surgeries by phone or in person, verify eligibility with physicians and staff.
• Coordinate with other medical professionals and the surgical center for special needs.
• Inform patients and third parties about pre-certification, authorization and scheduling processes.
• Set post-surgical appointments and perform related tasks.
• Cancel surgeries and related appointments and notify stakeholders.
• Research and resolve scheduling discrepancies promptly.
