Job summary

Sutter Health is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation - South in San Francisco. You will manage scheduling for surgical and specialized procedures, coordinating with physicians’ offices and department staff to verify room and equipment availability.

The role supports documentation of procedures, logs completed work, and ensures accuracy of the schedule. This position follows a hybrid onsite schedule (onsite Mon–Fri; remote Wednesday) with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of recent relevant experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in scheduling programs and data entry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with staff and patients.
• Ability to prioritize and manage interruptions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintains scheduling for surgical and specialized procedures for assigned department(s).
• Coordinates surgical services with physicians’ offices and other related departments; verifies room and equipment availability.
• Documents patient procedures and physician information; logs completed procedures; may generate a procedure charge sheet.
• Ensures schedule accuracy and reports any issues to supervisor.
