EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants is seeking a Surety Director to oversee the issuance and management of contract and commercial surety bonds, ensuring portfolio profitability and driving business development. You will lead risk assessment, agency relationship management, and strategic market growth in a hybrid Pittsburgh role.

The position requires 5–10 years of progressive surety experience, a P&C license, and AF SB/AFSB credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, risk management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive surety and portfolio management experience, including leadership history.
• Active Property and Casualty (P&C) license and AF SB/AFSB credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee issuance and management of contract and commercial surety bonds and drive profitable growth.
• Assess risk, review complex underwriting decisions, and monitor pricing and program results.
• Lead department workflow, set performance metrics, and direct staff development.
• Formulate regional or national sales plans to hit financial objectives.
• Cultivate partnerships with agents, brokers, and clients and represent the firm in industry associations.
