Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Substation Engineer Consultant to manage multi-discipline project teams for high-voltage substations. Responsibilities include coordinating design phases, leading client communications, and ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

The role offers hybrid work with three days in the office and two remote days, plus a generous relocation package depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree required.
• Experience in project management of utility transmission, substation or energy projects.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• 10+ years in design engineering or management of HV utility projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and scheduling professionals.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and transmission teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Prepare reports and calculations and review others' work for quality and compliance.
• Communicate with clients and support business development opportunities.
• Develop and mentor team members.
