Job summary

CalSTRS, headquartered in California, is seeking a student assistant to support Pension2 Training and Outreach within the Retirement Readiness division. The role involves creating training and outreach materials and delivering excellent customer service to CalSTRS customers via telephone and online channels.

The position is part-time and non-benefited, with a hybrid schedule: on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays in West Sacramento, with telework on other days.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret data analysis to ensure completeness of member information.
• Prepare outreach and presentation materials.
• Partner with subject matter experts to ensure quality control and review of work.
• Respond verbally and in writing to members as applicable.
• Prepare correspondence while adhering to high standards of written communication set by the CalSTRS Style Guide.
• Review and analyze member information, member records and resource materials as appropriate to complete inquiries.
• Collaborate with other teams within Retirement Readiness / Defined Contribution Program.
