Job summary

The California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) is seeking two Student Assistants to support Scheduling and Estimates in the Retirement Readiness division. The student assistants will assist the team in scheduling benefits planning services by providing outstanding customer service to CalSTRS members via telephone and online communications.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position with a hybrid work setup and on-site days in West Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities

• Ability to review, enter, track, and interpret data analysis to ensure completeness of member information.
• Partner with subject matter experts to ensure quality control and review of work.
• Respond verbally and in writing to members as applicable.
• Prepare correspondence while adhering to high standards of written communication set by the CalSTRS Style Guide.
• Review and analyze member information, member records and resource materials as appropriate to complete inquiries.
• Collaborate with other teams within Retirement Readiness.
• Ability to work on cross functional improvement teams and perform system testing as applicable.
• Ability to provide operational support, disseminate materials, and support management as applicable.
