Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support a multi-disciplinary design team for power generation projects, including stellarator technology. The role offers remote work flexibility and placement across Energy offices in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

Responsibilities

• Support Nuclear Technical Lead and Department Manager with strategic resourcing initiatives
• Supervise and lead a team of structural engineers through their development
• Serve as Structural Lead/Engineering of Record on all size projects
• Lead improvements in project efficiencies by creating, updating, and implementing group standards/templates
• Develop task and deliverable list with hours estimate and schedule for business development
• Multi-discipline collaboration on equipment general arrangements, site layouts, facility retrofits and specs
• Provide technical expertise for risk assessments, due diligence and complex solutions
• Support projects through complete lifecycle: feasibility, design, bid, construction, start-up and commissioning
• Direct and contribute to development of structural engineering calculations, specs and drawings
• Perform quality control reviews of work and present at meetings
