Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support a multi-disciplinary design team for power generation projects including traditional steam, thermal, and advanced nuclear technologies. The role offers flexibility to work remotely or at Energy offices across the United States.

The ideal candidate will have civil/structural engineering background, PE license, and experience leading structural teams through design and delivery phases. Relocation is not noted; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

Responsibilities

• Support Nuclear Technical Lead and Department Manager with strategic resourcing initiatives
• Lead a team of structural engineers through their individual and team technical development
• Serve as Structural Lead/Engineering of Record on all size projects maintaining responsibility for deliverable development
• Lead improvements in project efficiencies by creating and updating group standards/templates and researching software
• Develop task and deliverable lists with hours estimates and schedules for business development
• Collaborate across disciplines on layouts, specifications, scopes of work
• Provide technical expertise for risk assessments, due diligence and complex technical solutions
• Support projects through lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning
