Job summary

American Bible Society in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning to lead enterprise-wide recruitment and workforce planning in a faith-based environment. You will partner with HR and executives to align people strategy with mission and manage a high-performing TA team.

You will drive full-cycle recruitment, strengthen employer branding, and implement proactive sourcing while upholding stewardship and organizational values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, workforce planning, or related HR functions.
• Experience leading talent acquisition teams and influencing senior leaders in mission-driven organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an integrated talent acquisition strategy that reflects the organization’s mission, vision, values, priorities, and evolving ministry needs.
• Lead, coach, and develop the talent acquisition team, setting goals and performance metrics.
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment for ministry, leadership, professional, technical, and support roles.
• Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to clarify role design, required capabilities, and cultural alignment.
• Strengthen employer branding to communicate the organization’s Christian identity and mission.
• Develop proactive sourcing strategies spanning faith-based networks and diverse talent pools.
• Ensure hiring practices balance mission alignment, diversity, and equitable access.
