Job summary

Okta is seeking a Manager for the IDaaS Site Reliability Engineering group in San Francisco to lead multiple teams focusing on Edge networking, K8s platform, CI/CD, observability, automation, and tooling.

You will oversee teams supporting the IDaaS platform, drive velocity through tooling and self-service capabilities, and guide the microservice journey withArchitects and peers while ensuring reliable, cost-effective infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical leadership & people management.
• Extensive experience using Agile and DevOps methodologies to build product infrastructure at scale.
• Experience running large-scale infrastructure platforms supporting a SaaS/Cloud service in a public Cloud (AWS) with multi-Cloud experience is a plus.
• Strong cloud-native architectures, containerization (Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform).
• Strong background in SW development, PaaS and automation.
• Deep experience with observability platforms and monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, APM).
• Effective verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer Science Degree or related degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of SREs supporting the IDaaS platform.
• Drive the microservice journey and DevOps maturity with architects and teams.
• Accelerate SRE and product engineering velocity by building tooling and self-service capabilities.
• Lead and grow a high-performing team across platform, infrastructure, and shared services.
• Perform engineering design evaluations within resource, budget, and schedule constraints.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and Cloud infrastructure as code practices.
• Manage service expectations and prioritize resource allocation.
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and evolving technologies.
