Job summary

Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking an Underwriting Technician for our Middle Market team in the southeast territory. This is a full-time, non-exempt role with a hybrid arrangement.

The role supports Middle Market Underwriters by preparing and servicing accounts and handling endorsements within authority. You will collaborate with Underwriters and UT leaders to deliver timely service to agents, develop familiarity with profitability and renewal quality, and participate in ongoing training

Qualifications

• Basic exposure/control analysis and coverage understanding expected.
• Fundamental underwriting concepts and risk factors basic familiarity.
• Strong communication with agents and internal partners required.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned Underwriter on new business submissions and renewals.
• Handle endorsements within authority; refer outside when needed.
• Build agency relationships and provide prompt service to partner agents.
• Participate in ongoing training and grow underwriting proficiency.
